The piece Èbe is the result of a collaboration between Sarah Bronsard (choreographer) and Patrick Saint-Denis (audio art and robotics). The piece revolves around a choir of five robot accordions and a choreography anchored in flamenco. Full-fledged characters, robot accordions evoke a human presence and question a certain evolution in the representation of the body. Arranged so as to evoke a kind of extra-human lungs, their presence multiplies the parallels between bodies of flesh and metal. Èbe was also born from the desire to stage phenomena that go beyond us and guide us, beyond our individual questioning. "Èbe", which means ebb tide, is interested in the phenomenon of tides whose fluctuation evokes an immense breath. The performer synchronizes his movements with the instruments to examine the communicative dimension of the breath. A metaphorical question emerges from Èbe: what is revealed when the tide recedes?
